Management Team

Koichi Azuma/President & CEO, Pangaea Group, Inc.

Koichi Azuma launched his career in 2006 by founding an apparel import business based in Manila, Philippines. In 2008, he established a web development and marketing company and assumed the role of CEO. In 2014, he was appointed as an executive at the Japanese branch of Variety, an international charity organization headquartered in Los Angeles, and became its CEO the following year. In 2016, he served as the executive producer of the "Minions Run," which became Japan’s largest fan-run event, and was honored with the Innovation Award at the company’s global conference held in the UK. In 2017, he relocated to Los Angeles to launch an application and system development business, establishing a U.S. corporation and becoming its CEO (a position he continues to hold). In June 2019, he founded Metronome Inc. in Japan and assumed the position of CEO. He also oversees the business strategies of the Pangaea Group and its affiliated companies.

Akihiro Takayanagi/Vice President & CTO, Pangaea Group, Inc.

Akihiro Takayanagi began his career in the IT industry in 2000, engaging in programming work. In 2011, he became the CEO of an internet media production company. He later founded a system development company and led large-scale municipal website renewals and system development projects through a joint venture with NEC. In 2015, he established U-Creation Inc. and assumed the role of CEO. He has overseen a wide range of system development and web production projects for clients ranging from startups to publicly listed companies, including the development of internal management systems for listed firms. In 2017, he was appointed Head of the Japan Branch of a U.S.-based corporation, where he managed development projects both domestically and internationally. Since June 2020, he has served as CTO of Metronome Inc., and continues to act as CTO for other group companies within the Pangaea Group.

Atsuyuki Tsuchiya/Executive Advisor, Metronome, Inc.

After joining Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., he was appointed Branch Manager in 1997, gaining extensive experience in organizational management and leadership. In 2007, he made a career shift to MEGALOS Co., Ltd. through the company’s internal recruitment program, where he played a key role in launching the Musashi-Koganei branch and later served as its General Manager, before being appointed Executive Officer of the company.In 2010, he participated in the founding of Fast Fitness Japan (FFJ) and, as a Director, opened Japan’s first Anytime Fitness club in October of the same year.
He became President and CEO of FFJ in 2017, leading the company to a listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market in December 2020, followed by a transition to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in December 2021.In 2022, FFJ surpassed 1,000 locations nationwide and transitioned to the Prime Market under the TSE’s market restructuring.He stepped down as President and CEO in June 2023 and went on to obtain the Master License for KX Pilates in 2024.In May 2025, he opened Japan’s first KX Pilates studio in Higashi-Shinjuku, and in October 2025, he was appointed Executive Advisor to Metronome Co., Ltd.

Shinta Yamaguchi/Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Metronome, Inc.

After graduating from Tokai University, Shinta Yamaguchi began his career at Nisshin Industry, a commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturer, where he worked in sales for three years. He then joined Venture Link, where he achieved success in building franchise headquarters and working as a location consultant. He later took on roles in new business development, contributing to the launch of four new ventures in the fields of education, food service, beauty salons, and fitness clubs. In 2008, he joined Curves Japan—a women-only fitness club that he helped launch—as an executive officer. He was responsible for business development and marketing, significantly contributing to the company's franchise expansion. Shinta holds an MBA from EU Business School in Switzerland. Since December 2021, he has served as Chief Strategy Officer at Metronome, Inc.

Takaaki Matsuo/Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Metronome, Inc.

After studying in the United States, Takaaki Matsuo began his career at the select shop BARNEYS NEW YORK, gaining firsthand experience with the business model of fashion select shops. He later joined international advertising agencies and Hakuhodo Inc., where he worked on major global brands across a wide range of industries, including toiletries, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, jewelry, and fashion. In 2017, he was appointed Executive Officer at Hakuhodo Gravity Inc. (a 100% subsidiary of Hakuhodo), and in 2019, he became Senior Executive Officer of the company. Throughout his career, he has been involved in brand marketing and communication strategy for diverse sectors such as fashion, sports, luxury goods, high-net-worth individuals, PR, select shops, and global package goods brands. Since May 2022, he has served as Chief Marketing Officer at Metronome, Inc.

Tsunehiro Takada/Vice President, Acoon Medical Music, Inc.

After graduating from the College of Social Sciences at Ritsumeikan University in 1985, Tsunehiro Takada began his career at a major automotive transport equipment manufacturer. From 1987 to 1992, he was in charge of sales at the company’s U.S. subsidiary, and from 1994 to 1996, he served as Sales Manager at subsidiaries in Germany and the United Kingdom. Upon returning to Japan, he was appointed Branch Manager of the Aichi sales office. During his tenure, he successfully increased the company's delivery equipment share with Toyota Motor Corporation from third to first place, achieving cumulative sales exceeding ¥100 billion. From 2011 to 2018, he served as General Manager of Overseas and Domestic Sales as well as Director of Strategic Planning, spearheading overseas market development efforts, particularly in China. He also led the industry's first development of a robotic forklift and launched multiple new business ventures. In 2019, he earned an MBA from Kwansei Gakuin University Business School. He then served as a Visiting Researcher at Kwansei Gakuin University from 2019 to 2020, focusing on Global Entrepreneurship Education (GEE). Since 2021, he has been a member of the Kansai Venture Society.

ACOON HIBINO/Chief Development Officer (CDO), Acoon Medical Music, Inc.

ACOON HIBINO began performing music utilizing the sound frequency of 528Hz, often referred to as the “frequency of love.” In January 2015, he made his major debut with the full-length album "Balancing Mind and Body ~ The Frequency of Love 528Hz", released by Teichiku Entertainment. Despite the downturn in the CD market, the album became an unprecedented hit. He is the only Japanese composer and pianist who creates functional music based on 528Hz—an innovative genre previously unseen in Japan. His method of composing 528Hz music, grounded in both music theory and medical science, has received widespread acclaim and led to his winning of the Japan Record Award Planning Prize. Professor Hiroyuki Kobayashi of Juntendo University School of Medicine conducted clinical studies using only ACOON HIBINO’s compositions, publishing a scientific paper that verified the significant stress-reduction effects of listening to 528Hz music. In 2019, he founded a specialized company dedicated to developing 528Hz music that supports autonomic nervous system regulation, where he now serves as Chief Development Officer.

Advisory Team

Hiroyuki Kobayashi/Acoon Medical Music, Inc. Supervise

Professor at the Department of General Medicine and Department of Hospital Administration, Juntendo University School of Medicine; Director of the Tokyo Medical Association (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation); and Supreme Advisor of the Advanced Medical Science Wellness Academy (AMWA). He has gained extensive experience in pediatric surgery through numerous cases and procedures at internationally renowned hospitals such as the Royal London Hospital for Children. Professor Kobayashi established Japan’s first outpatient clinic specializing in constipation at Juntendo University, where he has seen over 10,000 patients. He is frequently consulted by other university hospitals and plays a leading role in international medical conferences. As one of the foremost experts in autonomic nervous system research, he advocates that consciously balancing the autonomic nervous system allows individuals to maximize both physical and mental performance. He has provided conditioning and performance enhancement guidance to numerous top athletes.

Nobuhiro Suetake/Acoon Medical Music, Inc. Supervise

Part-time Lecturer at Juntendo University School of Medicine; President of the 88th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Aesthetic Surgery; Certified Instructor of the International Anti-Aging Regenerative Medicine Society; and Certified Professional Boxing Trainer (JBC No. 31532). He has served as a trainer for Olympic Japanese national team members, K-1 fighters, F1 racing drivers, professional golfers, professional baseball players, J-League soccer players, actors, idols, models, and top stars of the Takarazuka Revue. His expertise includes body shaping, anti-aging from both inside and outside the body, autonomic nervous system conditioning, beauty, diet, and exercise guidance. With many years of experience in the aesthetic surgery industry, he has contributed extensively to surgical practice, education, and research, promoting the development of aesthetic surgery. Expanding his scope, he has taken a leadership role in emerging fields such as cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic internal medicine, and anti-aging medicine, mentoring many young doctors. At Juntendo University School of Medicine, he collaborates with Professor Hiroyuki Kobayashi on sports medicine and autonomic nervous system research, working to train top athletes and develop new health methods.

Takeshi Kurihara/Metronome, Inc. Supervise

Specialist certified by the Japan Society of Hepatology, certified internist by the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and certified by the Japanese Society of Mibyo (Preventive Medicine). Former professor at Tokyo Women's Medical University and Keio University Graduate School. Chairman and Director of Ryo Fukai Medical Corporation Kurihara Clinic Tokyo Nihonbashi. Board member of the Japanese Society of Hemodynamics and Vascular Biology, Japanese Coenzyme Q Association, Eastern Branch of the Japan Society of Hepatology, Japanese Society of Gastroenterology, Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, and Japanese Society of Mibyo, among others. He emphasizes not only treatment but also prevention, and is a leading advocate of “healthy, smooth-flowing blood.” Widely recognized for his clear explanations and warm personality, he frequently appears in TV programs, newspapers, and magazines. Author of numerous books including “How to Drink Alcohol and Still Lose Weight” (Nihon Bungeisha) and “Great Liver Revival: How to Build a ‘Strong Liver’ to Enjoy Food and Drink until 100 Years Old” (Toyo Keizai Inc.).
